About – PWC Gaming Group

In the Beginning...

PWC Gaming started off in 2004 as PWE. It was a community designed for SgtMuffin and his friends to play with the same group. The group was for fun and we had a 6 person server running in his basement.

As time went on, SgtMuffin started to get into map design, and set up a special website at the time for our clan which was ut2004.projectilewaffle.com. We shortened the name of our group to PW (ProjectileWaffle). Some of our first maps people may recall being released as AS-PW-*.

The group for a long time consisted of a relatively small user base, primarily of friends and some great online buddies. Below are some photos of the original headquarters in SgtMuffin’s parent’s basement.

This is the computer SgtMuffin built after a summer at his first job.

This was a AMD 64 X2 3400+ with a DFI Lan Party Motherboard and the heaviest case ever.

This was where our first server sat. It was a pentium 3 500mhz machine.

We eventually got a nice rackmount server to make us feel like it was a server. Same p3 500mhz specs

I loved playing around multiple monitors. Here is my second built computer ever with 4 monitors.

Extra computers for when friends came over to play. (You’ll see this tradition is still alive today)

This was SgtMuffin’s spot where a majority of Race maps between 2004-2006 were made.

The Mid-Years...

In 2007, SgtMuffin went to started working full time since graduating from college. As money started to “flow in”, he spent frivolously, and eventually in 2010 bought his first home and got away from the basement… to a house that surprisingly had no basement. While the initial boom of players had started to fade out a bit, our community was still going strong. Here are some photos of the place.

When he first moved in he used the spare bedroom for his PCs. You’ll see his PC and the spares to the right.

Around 2016, we started playing a lot of overwatch.

Extra computers for friends on the weekend.

In 2015 when SgtMuffin ran and developed DiamondClub.TV

The DiamondClub.TV streaming servers that ran our FM channels and our live 24/7 channel which a technical feat.

In 2017 when he went all out to upgrade his workstation to a very long 3x 40″ wall display set up and 3x 27″ lower displays.

Updated the set up to be two different PCs later.

The 2020's and Beyond...

In 2020, SgtMuffin bought the company he had been working at since 2007. He moved to his now current house in the fall of 2020 and things went out of control since.

His house is built for parties and get-togethers. His home office has three extra gaming computers in there if people want to play games in a room with nice windows and wildlife. Then there is the basement that has been converted into the craziest Arcade Bar you’ve ever seen. While it is not a business our running joke is it’s branded like one.
