This is a tutorial on how to do a map for our Invasion Server. For the most part we will host your map unless...
1) It crashes our server
2) It doesn't play good
3) People don't like it
4) It has Too Many Vehicles
5) It has Secrets
Step 1: You must down the Fraghouse 4.1 Core Files.

Put the FHIv4 folder in the Main UT2004 Folder.
C:\UT2004\ or C:\Unreal Anthology\UT2004\ for defaults.
So the directory would be as such.
C:\UT2004\FHIv4\System\HeavyVehicles.u (as an example)
Overwriting your game install will mess it up badly, do NOT do it.
Step 2: Navigate to the FHIv4 folder you copied over, and launch the batch file
"UnrealEd for FHI2k4"
This will open up Unreal Editor and pre-load the required files into the editor.
Step 3: Open up a pre-made DM level if you want to go off of one of those or make a DM level, and design it the way you want. Do NOT worry about putting the game actors in yet. This is a very easy thing to do and you really only have about 5 different types of items to put into the level.
Step 4: Now it is time to put player spawns into the game. Just right click on the spot you want and put player spawns as you normally would do.
Section 1 Completed. You have your DM styled level setup. This cannot run in Fraghouse mode because unlike the people at Epic, Fraghouse team thought a great thought. Spawn monsters seperately.
Adding Actors.
- FHIMonsterSpawnPoint (required to make any monsters spawn, use a lot)
- FHIMapMonsterConfig (required for our server, our server uses "map monster" mode)
- FHIBoss (only required if you'd like a boss in, the game automatically adds a new round if you have one of these in the map)
FHIMonsterSpawnPoint
- Should have at LEAST 10 of these points.
- Keep them good distance apart for the best Fraghouse experience.
- Keep away from Player Spawns
FHIMapMonsterConfig
- Look at a Premade map for good ways to set it up, I know I did.
- Only one is required, two would cause conflicts.
- Make sure you balance it good, vary the selection of monsters, and if you could, stay away from the Pink Colored Monsters. kthx
FHIBoss
- Only one per map please... Seriously...
- pick a monster from the choice, you can't use custom monsters or normal monsters as boss. They don't end the map correctly.
Save the map with the FHI- if it's without a boss and FHI-BOSS- if there is a boss.
Make sure under level properties it's the FHI.FHI gametype.
