For the past week I have been having problems with both of my hard drives. First I ran a bad sector scan on my 128GB SSD, and it found 600+ Bad Sectors but thank god was able to recover all spots without a problem (nice part about SSDs)

I ran a test of my second hard drive, my 300GB raptor and found no problems, however while using the computer it had problems of randomly just disappearing when connected. Connections were tight and all... It would just stop being able to get data off of it.

While running Spinrite 6 on the 300GB raptor and found no problems either, however it did some maintenance writing (refreshing weak signals) and enabled SMART which for some reason was off.

So confusing but I have a feeling that with SMART disabled it was causing most of it, because it wasn't monitoring things right. So just a note for those people who have random hard drive issues with more than one of your drives at a time. It could of course be your motherboard, drivers in your operating system, or many other items, but check that SMART is enabled. Ran for a few hours after without any issues reading data.
