Our IRC server is back online for those who want to be able to chat outside of the game. For those who do not know IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. It is one of the oldest systems for chatting on a computer I can think of.

You can connect to our server by downloading a program like mIRC which is available by googling. It's shareware, it will pop up after so many days and nag to purchase on startup.

SERVER ADDRESS: wisc.pwc-networks.com

When you initially connect you will not automatically join any channels, so here are the channels for your reference.

#Welcome (Lobby Server)
#UT04Trials (Trials Server)
#UT04Assault (Assault Server)

to join a channel go into the text spot and type

if you want to register your nickname so nobody else takes it you can do that easily by typing in any room...

/msg nickserv register YOURPASSWORDHERE
NOTE: If your name is registered upon every connection you will have to 'identify' yourself to the nickname server otherwise it will boot you after 60 seconds. Just type into the chat...

/msg nickserv identify YOURPASSWORDHERE
It will remind you to do so, so it's not something you have to memorize!

I will eventually release a web client to connect to it, for now use mIRC.

NOTE: If you're in UT04Assault or UT04Trials you can chat into the server and see game events. To send something to the server make sure the beginning of your message has a ~ on it. Otherwise the UT server ignores the message.
