Actually I pre-ordered mine and have it all downloaded and stuff but the game doesn't "release" for another hour yet. Also it's an open ended game, there is no way to beat it.

i've already beaten it, all the modes except for the last are short and simple. but its very fun to play

It's all really fun until you get into galaxy mode, at which point I think it's the sole purpose of the game to break your scroll wheel.

I got it too didn't play enough yet to make it out of the first stage but the short time I played it I loved it

Don't finish off the civilization mode by using ICBMs. I did that and there are ehrm consequences.

Actually the galaxy mode has gotten alot more fun! I played through to galaxy mode with a different creature and path. I went carnivore -> Predator -> Friendly -> Religious -> Zealot. Where as my first play through it was hurtstuff -> hurtstuff -> hurtstuff -> hurtstuff (with hats) -> hurtstuff

Taking over the world with worship is tons harder then blowing it up! But it seems to of been more rewarding in the end. I wasn't aware but the goal of the galaxy mode is actually getting to the center of the galaxy and... something about the Goax? Anyways I'm up to 7 star systems with multiple colonized planets and usually around 1.5mil sporebuck laying around =D. I've even bought out a star system =D.

yea it gets kindof interesting. i've gotten all the ship upgrades but still can't make it to the center. the grox is a huge alien race that basically hate you no matter what, i tried doing a mission for them, then they turned around and killed me and destroyed 2 of my planets. i have about 5mil and bought out about 5 stars

I started using the planet go boom weapon, but my game crashed after having it run for... ehrm 8 hours. =(

I like how money becomes less of an issue. Also I bought a worm hole key but I've yet to find a wormhole?

It appears the fastest strategy I got for clearing through the star system was fly in, drop bombs on their cities to capture/destroy them then fly to the next. Rince and repeat. It was very swift. The shield makes taking over homeworlds a complete joke. I only irradicated 2 space empires so far but it has proven to be VERY easy.
