    Default Got some new toys!

Christmas came early at work this year. I got some new toys. Any guesses what these might be?

Looking from the boxes especially the second one, the UPC makes me think to believe it is either

    A) HP Blade Servers
    B) Several Thin Desktops.

The boss was nice enough to buy me:

    - 4x C7000 blade enclosures
    - 22x BL490c blades, for ESX and Hyper-V
    - 6x BL685c blades, for Windows/SQL databases

This brings our total number up to 7 enclosures and 42 blades, with the existing units we got last year.

So far, I've got 14 of the blades up and running with ESX, which retired about 185 monolithic servers. Hopefully I'll be retiring a bunch more before the end of the year.

Been fighting with the network department over the last few days, trying to get them to drop me some more trunks for the new machines. grr!

I'm getting way to excited about this stuff. dammit, I'm a geek.

Haha I fucking knew it. I'm good at guessing :) There is no way any box that size would have so many UPC labels unless it was a blade server or tons of thin clients.
