If you're looking to get some steam games, now is the time to play on the pro trials server.

Through the end of the year we are putting on a tournament where the top three people will win prizes.

First Place: We'll buy you a game on steam up to $60 USD and $10000 in game currency.
Second Place: We'll buy you a game on steam up to $40 USD and $5000 in game currency.
Third Place: We'll buy you a game on steam up to $20 USD AND $2000 in game currency.
Fourth Place: $100 in game currency.

This is based on overall server ranking. It is also only valid on the pro trials server. EU and USA trial servers do not count.

End of the contest is New Years 01/01/01 @ 00:00:01 GMT

Just letting everyone know I'm working on a system that parses and tracks the webbtimes.html file BTimes generates and lets you compare times between servers from a nice web page. I have some elite times saved too if you're looking for those. I also will probably get a more recent snapshot from any player who has one, and have them sort nicer.

  Move to SSD hardware complete.

One of the big problems we have had recently on the USA server is that the machine is powered by standard hard drives. Those hard drives were busy serving a lot of files non-stop day and night, so I have decided to move the USA UT2004 servers over to a ramnode instance in Atlanta, GA. You'll notice the machine is much quicker. It's powered by much newer hardware, and RAID 10 SSD's.

Ramnode has a much better peering than Nocix had, so you should notice much better bandwidth all around the world to that server.  Big Grin
